Established in Scotland for 114 years, Ghiloni’s is praised for the high quality of their food and drink and particularly on their excellent ice cream.

Well, with a £10 Gift Voucher from the Cafe, you will be able to sample it for yourself (if you win the raffle of course!).

Nicola from Solo Hair on Townhead, Kirkintilloch has given us a £15 voucher to include as one of our Raffle prizes.

This is where Cathy has her hair cut and I know she is hard to please, so they must be OK!

Charity Facebook Memory Fest '16 Raffle No Comments

Who hasn’t tried this wonderful place in the heart of Kirkintilloch? Cathy is always in there and can’t say enough about the quality of food and service.

Offering some of the best coffees in Kirkintilloch, made by their trained Baristas, freshly made Sandwiches (made from bread baked daily on our premises), Baguettes, Paninis, Bagels, Jacket Potatoes with delicious fillings, home made Soup, wonderful hand made Cakes & Tray Bakes and extra large Scones, in a friendly and relaxed environment, 75 has become a rendezvous for locals and tourists alike, desperate for good food & great coffee in Kirkintilloch.

Well, now you could try it using a £10 gift voucher if you are the lucky winner on May 1st at Memory Fest. Look at the prices though, even if you don’t win, why not pop in for a coffee anyway?

No, its OK, we haven’t made a typo, we did actually mean to title this article Mugstock 2016!

You see, the organisers of this festival of music and merriment known as Mugstock 2016 have very kindly provided us with not one but two weekend tickets to their event which takes place on another Bank Holiday, 29-31 July 2016. This is a huge prize, each ticket has a face value of £75.

The image to the right shows some of the stats from last year and 2016 is set to be even bigger!

So you can still come to our Memory Fest ’16, which is taking place on this next Bank Holiday Sunday and, if you are lucky whilst you are there you can win these tickets to go to Mugstock 2016 as well!

Even if you don’t win the tickets (and only one person can win) it is seriously worth going to Mugstock for a weekend of great entertainment, check out their ticket prices.

Do you fancy joining an exercise class to help improve your fitness and to get you in shape? Well, our latest Raffle prize donation will give you the chance to try a wide range of exercise classes at varying times suited to different fitness levels.

Thanks to some kind words from our good friend, Seb, Enterprise Health and Fitness in Kirkintilloch have provided Memory Fest with two vouchers, each for one month’s free membership for either their Gym or their Classes.

No matter what fitness level you are, they have a wide range of equipment and services tailored to get you results, whether it’s cardio on treadmills, bikes or x-trainers or bodybuilding.

Charity Memory Fest '16 Raffle No Comments

Today, we are very grateful to Smiths Hotel in Kirkintilloch who have donated a Gift Voucher to Memory Fest ’16.

This will be one of the Raffle Prizes on 1 May 2016 at Club Bliss and will allow the winner to a meal at Smiths Bar & Grill to the value of £30 (to be spent on both food and drink).

This is a quote from their website, “Smiths Hotel has an excellent reputation for the quality of its food. Charity Live Music Memory Fest '16 Raffle No Comments

Yass! Jacqui and Steve have given Memory Fest ’16 another signed CD, this time by the brilliant Steel Threads.

Steel Threads are an alternative Acoustic Rock band using Guitar, Violins, Bass and Vocal harmony to create uniqueness.

An original band, Steel Threads perform their own unique blend of acoustic rock and folk. Formed in 2011 they pride themselves on their strong songwriting and energetic performances.

Neil Wardleworth – Guitar / Vocals / Drum
Laura Wilcockson – Violin / Vocals
Tracy Beardmore – Bass / Violin / Vocals

The band’s debut album ‘Timing Is Everything‘ was released in June 2012 and the band has gigged throughout the UK, building a strong following ever since. The strength of support is evidenced by the fact that the second album ‘For Those Who Are Left‘ was pledge funded by fans and reached its target much more quickly than the band expected. In October 2014 the band released a ‘Live EP‘, featuring songs from the first 2 albums performed live as a duo.

Their third studio album, The Rule Of Three was released in December 2015 and it is this one we will have up for grabs in our raffle on 1 May 2016 at Club Bliss. Make sure you buy plenty of raffle tickets to be in with a chance to win this great CD.

Classic Rock Donations Raffle No Comments

Memory Fest ’16 have been provided with a signed copy of Imitation Sun, one of Captain Horizon’s CDs!

Captain Horizon are an alternative rock band from the West Midlands. Over the course of three EPs and two albums they’ve invented a sound entirely their own, bringing a wide range of styles together to create an instantly accessible identity.

“Captain Horizon has accomplished something unique… they have harnessed lightning in a jar.”

Captain Horizon enjoy a well-deserved reputation as one of the most exciting live bands on the circuit, with high-energy showmanship, soaring melodies and precise vocal harmonies captivating the attention of audiences across the country.

Captain Horizon are:

Steve “Whitty” Whittington – lead vocals
Joshua Watson – guitars, backing vocals
James “Mez” Merrix – drums, percussion
Alex Thomson – bass, backing vocals

The band was born in the summer of 2008 when Josh and Alex started writing songs that brought together the high energy and intricacy of influences such as Incubus, Radiohead, Tool and Porcupine Tree, and the classic swagger of stadium bands like U2, Pearl Jam, Pink Floyd and AC/DC. Mez joined shortly after and set about bringing his unique brand of precise and original drumming to the music. Whitty was the last piece of the puzzle, injecting thunderous vocals, unstoppable self-belief and the ability to charm any crowd before him.

This fantastic item (I’ve listened to it and it is fantastic!) will be available as one of our Raffle Prizes, thanks to Jacqui and Steve Snowball in Macclesfield.
