Introducing Our Compere

Simply Mo

Simply MoTo make sure that everything moves smoothly throughout the night we have decided to have someone to Compere the evening.

Many of you will have heard of Simply Mo, hopefully even seen one, or more, of his shows – well you can see him again on Sunday, 30 April 2017 at Memory Fest ’17!

We are not sure of the format yet, or whether he will have the opportunity to sing one or two tunes for us (it is going to be a busy evening) but you never know, do you?

Either way, I am sure he will make a much better job than I did last year!

Official Photographer

Photos For Life

Photos For LifeWe are so pleased to have secured our official photographer for the evening so quickly.

Susan from Photos For Life Photography in Kirkintilloch will be at the event all evening and will hopefully be taking some super photos for us.

If you see Susan wandering around don’t forget to smile. What am I talking about? Of course you will be smiling, you will be having a great time supporting Memory Fest and helping to raise loads of money for Alzheimer Scotland!

There may be an opportunity to purchase photos taken at Memory Fest this year – watch the Birdie, I mean watch this space for more details soon.

Evolution!

Evolution

Evolution

Last year, we had R.is.E., this year the great band Evolution will be rocking us towards closing time. You can read more about them on their page here or why not go and ‘like’ them on their Facebook page?

The line up of the band is:

  • Vocals/Rhythm Guitar – Stewart Carrol
  • Lead Guitar – Ross Easdon
  • Bass Guitar – James Inglis
  • Drums – Kevin Fitzpatrick

We hope to be able to get some more information about each member of the band and share that with you very soon.

Memory Fest ’17

Memory Fest '17

Welcome to the Memory Fest ’17 website … well yes, it’s the same one as last year, I know that, but now we are going to share all of the information about the forthcoming event taking place on 30 April 2017.

Memory Fest '17This year we are just supporting the one Charity, Alzheimer Scotland – last year we found that most of our supporters preferred the local charity and so we made the decision to drop our support for Dementia UK for this event. We will keep our Just Giving page open for Dementia UK just in case anyone does want to donate to them too, they are still a very worth cause!

We considered other venues for this year’s event, however have decided to go back to Club Bliss in Kirkintilloch who looked after us so well last year.

Over the coming weeks we will be updating our posts here to let you know what is going on, who is supporting us and where you can buy tickets from. Posters and physical tickets are now at the printers and we hope to have these available very soon. If you can display one of our posters, please get in touch and we will make sure we drop one or two off for you.

Closing The Books!

The End of Memory Fest '16

The End of Memory Fest '16Hello Everyone!

Well we are almost three months after the first Memory Fest event and on 1 August 2016 we are going to close the books and make arrangements to hand over the monies that we raised for our Charities.

Sales of the brilliant DVD have been much slower than we expected and to be honest we are more than a little disappointed with that, however life goes on and we do have to draw the line. If you do want to buy one of these then you have another few days to get your money to us. Remember, only £9.99 plus postage and packaging if required at £1.27.

The Silent Auction items are still available, we must move these before the end of July so please send us an email with your best offer – grab a last minute bargain!

The winner of the Wedding Video Auction decided not to go ahead with it after all, so it was offered to the second highest bidder. Unfortunately, circumstances meant that they too were unable to go ahead with it and so we will keep this for the next event.

Thanks again, everyone for your involvement, please get your bids in for these last couple of items so that we can close the books at the end of the month on a high!
